VeriTalent uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to power many of the intelligence services available across the Platform.

This AI Transparency & Automated Decision Disclosure explains:

1. Purpose

  • how AI is used across the Platform;
  • the information AI may process;
  • the types of AI-generated outputs you may receive;
  • the role of human judgement in AI-assisted services; and
  • your rights in relation to AI-assisted processing.

VeriTalent uses AI to help individuals, organizations and institutions transform verified activities, experiences, credentials, recommendations and records into trusted Employability Intelligence and Workforce Intelligence.

Our AI systems are designed to support—not replace—human judgement.

AI assists users by identifying patterns, generating insights and producing intelligence from available information. Final decisions relating to employment, recruitment, admissions, promotions, certifications or other important outcomes remain the responsibility of the relevant individuals and organizations.

AI processes information that users provide, organizations are authorized to provide, or VeriTalent is otherwise permitted to process in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

5.1 Basis for Outputs

These outputs are generated using analytical models and the information available at the time of processing.

6. Automated Processing

Certain Platform features involve automated processing to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability. Examples include:

  • analysing submitted information;
  • generating competency signals;
  • producing intelligence reports;
  • identifying skills relationships;
  • supporting candidate screening;
  • matching opportunities;
  • ranking relevant competencies;
  • supporting verification workflows; and
  • detecting unusual or potentially fraudulent activity.

6.1 Not a Replacement for Judgement

Automated processing helps deliver Platform services but does not replace appropriate human judgement.

7. Human Oversight

VeriTalent does not use AI to independently make final employment, recruitment, admission, certification, promotion or funding decisions.

AI-generated outputs are intended to support informed decision-making.

Employers, institutions, program administrators, Talent Partners and other authorized users remain responsible for exercising independent judgement when making decisions based on Platform information.

8. Understanding AI Outputs

AI-generated outputs:

  • are probabilistic rather than definitive;
  • depend on the quality and completeness of available information;
  • may change as additional verified information becomes available;
  • should not be interpreted as guarantees of future performance or outcomes; and
  • may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies.

8.1 Recommended Use

Users and organizations should consider AI-generated outputs alongside other relevant information.

10.1 Training Data

Personally identifiable information is not used to train AI models except where permitted by applicable law or with appropriate authorization.

11.1 Consequences of False Information

Providing false, misleading or fraudulent information may affect AI-generated outputs and may result in suspension or other action under the VeriTalent Terms & Conditions.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal information;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Request additional information about significant AI-assisted processing affecting your data;
  • Request human review where required by applicable law; and
  • Exercise other rights described in the VeriTalent Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to this Disclosure

We may update this Disclosure from time to time to reflect:

  • Improvements to AI systems;
  • New Platform capabilities;
  • Product enhancements;
  • Changes in applicable law;
  • Regulatory guidance;
  • Operational requirements; or
  • Industry best practices.

13.1 Notice of Changes

Where appropriate, material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by other reasonable means.

The latest version will always be published with an updated Effective Date.
